What Exciting can be Done in Doha?

Smith · May 30, 2019 · Leave a Comment

Doha is the capital of Qatar, an advanced and quickly developing city. It is situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf. According to Forbes, it is the richest country in the entire world on the basis of per capita and considering the money getting transferred into construction, Doha appears to have become one of the premier cities in the Gulf within a couple of years. Also, Qatar is only a few years away from hosting the magnificent world’s leading sporting event, the 2022 World Cup.

In India, people love to travel and they visit different destinations in the nation. But many families hesitate to go international because of the high prices. Well, if you want to take your first international trip for leisure and pleasure, then you should go to Doha. Remember, even if you live in a city like Chennai, you will be surprised by Chennai to Doha flight fares which are absolutely reasonable. Within a span of around five hours, you would be in the domain of Doha.

Al Zubarah Town and Fort

Lately, Al Zubarah Town and Fort, was named a UNESCO World Heritage site; this seaside town is situated about 100 kms from Doha. It is the only remaining example of a full Arabian pearl merchant town and it is one of six thousand archaeological and heritage spots in Qatar.

Museum of Islamic Art

Having the largest collection of Islamic Art in the world, gathered from three continents, this spectacular museum is so rich in treasure that it rewards small, intense visits. Rising from its own custom-made island and set in a wide landscape of lawns and decorative trees off the Corniche, the museum is moulded like a postmodern fortress having minimal windows. The views and vistas across the water are amazing and engaging.

Souq Waqif

This lively complex is without doubt one of the most impressive places to explore in Qatar. Constructed on an ancient market site, the zone remains the social heart of Doha. Centuries ago, Bedouin used to bring their goats, sheep and wool here to trade for rudiments and the whole market area has been ingeniously redeveloped to look the part of a 19th-century Souq, having mud-rendered shops and exposed timber beams, and some authentic and gorgeously restored original Qatari buildings. The place is, undoubtedly, a worth visiting spot for explorers.

Banana Island Resort

With its impervious waters and 800m golden-sand beach, the semi-circular-shaped Banana Island is one of the finest jaunts in Qatar. Cloaked in tropical plants and greenery, it has reached via catamaran. Six splendid restaurants on the island, from conventional Middle Eastern and American to Italian, keep the guests and tourists fuelled up for the diverse activities on offer, like that of Segway rides, bowling, beach diving, and flowrider wave riding and so on. Once you are there, you can explore the beautiful sites, experience the distinct activities, and of course, taste the scrumptious food options.

So, book the cheap flights from chennai to Doha and take your family or friends along with you for this amazing trip.
